About

The Story of Life Builders

Life Builders began by asking a fundamental question:
"How do we put our life together?"

Did you feel that the education you received as a child really prepared you for life?

Most schools teach us skills — but forget to teach us how to take care of our health, nurture meaningful relationships, manage our emotions, develop a mindset that empowers us to take responsibility for our lives. They lack the skills so essential to designing our life on our own terms.

How can we prepare our children to be confident, knowledgeable, and empowered to create their very best life?

If you were to build a house, you would hire an architect to help you create the blueprint. If you were to build a website, you would hire a web developer, someone with expertise who can help you bring your ideas to life. In the same way, if you want to build an extraordinary life, why not hire a life architect?  Someone who's expertise is to take people on a guided process that helps them design and build their life in a very practical way.

Welcome to Life Builders.

About the Founder

Why I started Life Builders, and a little about my life journey and teaching philosophy.

My story

Hi, I’m Emeric Le Morvan. Growing up, I struggled in school a lot. I didn't feel smart, and I struggled to meet my own expectations and those of my teachers. On the surface, it seemed that everything was ok, but I was struggling on the inside. This left me with the feeling of not being good enough.

I studied and worked hard, and still, I struggled.

One day, during university, I hit a wall. I became sick, depressed, and ready to quit. I turned to doctors for help, who directed me to psychiatry. I remember walking down the halls of the hospital thinking: "I cannot believe this is happening."

Sometimes in life you need a breakdown to have a breakthrough. My breakthrough came when I stopped relying on others for answers and instead took charge of my life.

I embarked on a personal development journey. I explored my curiosity and studied everything I could get my hands on about ‘how to learn’, the human body and mind, spirituality, physics. I was on a quest to better understand the world we live in, and gain clarity on how to put my life together.

I gained a new perspective on life. I began to be more proactive about designing and building the life that I wanted to live. After creating and doing the practices that I now give to my students, I’m me now. I know who I am and I’m doing work that’s meaningful and important in the world. I’ve built a business around helping kids and adults figure out how to improve their ability to play this game called life. I help them gain clarity on how they choose to play the Game, and empower them with practical tools, strategies and frameworks they can use to build a successful, happy life.

also’s: I am an avid mountain biker, daily meditator, and a swing dancer. I live in beautiful Vancouver, BC Canada.

My unique point of view

As a result of this winding journey, I am a youth mentor with a truly unique point of view, including:

  • an emphasis on the whole person
  • a focus on incremental skill-building
  • a strong ability to brainstorm and solve problems
  • expert use of technology tools to increase efficiency and measure results
  • gaining clarity and finding structure in the midst of chaos

I'm very passionate about creating unique learning experiences for my students and seeing them grow into more responsible individuals.

Let's work together

Mentoring 1-1

Mentoring is great for students in middle, high school, and college. I mentor students who are ready to do the work it takes to feel smart, confident, and ready to excel at school, while empowering themselves to build their very best life.
